NB-AIR-OK
Building on early hull work by Damien Widdy and with input from the team at Dinghy Sports, the Air-OK is positioned as a high quality super competitive boat. Manufactured in Vinylester and fully measured what sets this boat apart from others is the focus on aerodynamics option. In its most advanced form the Air sports a completely uncluttered deck with ”under deck” routing for all sail controls – in continuous form (NB-Air-OK). With a super low centre of gravity, low rocker, tapered case and inclined mast step the boat offers customers the chance to have a super advanced OK, in a variety of build formats. Our two models are the fully aero OK, (NB-Air-OK), or a standard on deck model,(NB-OK).
Update 9-11-2020
On its first outing the NB-AIR-OK came 4th at the NSW State Titles. With new skipper David Clark at the helm (and with a misaligned rig for a far bigger sailor) David had outstanding speed. On the second day David won the boats first race and led another to finish 3rd at the gun. The feedback over ten days of testing is really positive and has given us some iterations to build into our first production run, starting mid November 2020. We are genuinely excited that we can combine supply of world class equipment with coaching, data and support for ourselves and our partners to get you up and running in the shortest time possible.
Update 1-06-2021
Our journey continues with our build now completely undertaken in-house at NBs new factory in Gosford. We are currently working on further refinements and greater options on the finish of the boat.
2023 - The Gen 2 boat win the NSW State Champ and in the hands of its designer dominates the Australian and Interdom champs, as well as the Vic Champs with consistently superior speed around the course. The boat is now being built under licence @ Dinghysports in Mona Vale. All sales enquiries are handled by NB Sailsports.
